Sandrock RecordingsThe musical heritage of the Cumberland Trail
Sandrock Recordings is a venture of the Friends of the Cumberland Trail, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides vital assistance to the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail.
The label is named for the region which is known for its natural sandstone rockhouses, which are large rock overhangs that provides a place for people to gather.
Proceeds from CD and DVD sales support the Cumberland Trail and the Musicians and Musical Heritage of its neighboring communities. The work began in the 1970s when park ranger Bobby Fulcher sought out and recorded traditional string band music.
To purchase CDs, contact Teresa Kemmer at Teresa.Kemmer@tn.gov at or visit the Sandrock Recordings booth at select events.
Digital downloads will be available for sale soon at www.SandrockRecordings.com. Wholesale inquiries welcome.
